'I Need a True Friend!'
Reciprocity can be hard to find.
The Marshes (1950) by Helen Lundeberg
I’m so tired. I am a deeply sensitive person and I’m sick of desperately waiting for friends and acquaintances to remember I exist, to ask about my feelings, to share in my triumphs and comfort me when I’m sad. No matter how close I have felt to various friends in the past, it simply never feels reciprocated.
